FIELD: mechanical engineering; compressors.
SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for use in diaphragm compressors with opposite diaphragm units. Proposed compressor contains two opposite diaphragm units with working and drive chamber, housing, cam-swinging motion mechanism, pressure limiter, safety valve and booster pump. Cam-swinging mechanism has symmetrical central drive cam with pendulums. Axis of cam is located on axis of cylinders of opposite diaphragm units. Drive chambers of two opposite diaphragm units are connected to one pressure limiter, one safety valve and only to one booster pump. Two working compression processes are executed in each opposite diaphragm unit at one revolution of shaft which makes it possible to increase capacity of compressor. Owing to symmetrical working processes, one safety valve, one booster pump and one pressure limiter can be used to provide operation of two opposite diaphragm units.
EFFECT: increased operation reliability, reduced specific metal usage, increased specific capacity of designed compressor.
