FIELD: humidity measuring devices.
SUBSTANCE: humidity measuring device can be used for measuring humidity of gaseous media on base of dew point. Humidity measuring device has thermal-electric converter which has to be cooler, dc source, current interrupter, microcontroller and indicator. Surface of cooler has to be condensation surface to be cooled. Thermo-electrical converter is connected dc source through current interrupter controlled by microcontroller. During flowing of current, thermo-electrical converter operates as Peltier element. Surface of element is getting cold. During period when current is interrupted, element has to be temperature detector of self cooled surface while operation as Zeebeck element. Dew point temperature is determined from abnormal increase in temperature of thermo-electrical converter when condensate separates onto its surface. Knowing environmental temperature and dew point temperature, microcontroller calculates relative humidity of medium and sends it to indicator.
EFFECT: improved precision; higher speed of operation.
