FIELD: high-voltage rotary machine commutators; commutator insulator and filter for its cooling and cleaning.
SUBSTANCE: proposed commutator system has current-collecting slip-ring installed on rotary shaft and fixed conductive ring assembly forming partially closed annular high-voltage AC conductive channel accommodating contact members of current-collecting slip-ring. Compartment partially closes current-collecting slip-ring and fixed conductive ring assembly at ground potential. Fluid source conveys fluid to compartment so that it enters conductive ring channel for at least cooling or cleaning contact members of current-collecting slip-ring. Hollow conical insulator is made in the form of truncated cone with its smaller-section opening communicating with conductive annular channel and with section having greater cross-sectional area which is passed through compartment and communicates with compartment for fluid outlet from conductive annular channel.
EFFECT: ability of easy air passage through outlet and of filtering commutator cooling air.
