FIELD: electric engineering and electric power engineering, in particular, training of relay protection.
SUBSTANCE: in claimed method, concept of relay protection training is realized, during which a strict hierarchy of two-dimensional signals and relay groups is introduced, in accordance to which the training strategy is designed. As instructors, imitation models of objects are used in two sets of opposite modes - controlled and alternative. In alternative modes activation of protection is strictly prohibited. As training location, planes of measurements of two-dimensional signals are used. On transition to next group of executive relays, characteristic of activation of main relay is expanded each time, resulting in increased sensitivity, and hazard of non-selective operation appearing in that case is abolished by corresponding compression of additional characteristics.
EFFECT: expanded functional capabilities and increased sensitivity due to stage-wise introduction of activation characteristics on additional planes.
