FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: method is based on symbiosis of direct and indirect adaptation. According to the method three types of signals and, respectively, three polytypic groups of similar relays, and also groups of executive relays which include one representative from each group of similar relays are applied. The operations of training of the second type relays reacting to the current mode values, and the third type relay reacting to the virtual values formed with participation of emergency components of currents. The first type relays are not subject to training. Their characteristics are set rigidly, by splitting into parts of area of display of measurements formed from values of the previous mode. While the first type relays control the process of training of the second and third type relays that are in the same executive group.

EFFECT: higher reliability of protection.
