FIELD: agricultural engineering.

SUBSTANCE: chisel-type mellowing apparatus has attached two-bar frame with plated brackets welded in staggered arrangement thereto. Working tools provided on brackets are formed as rectangular tines with hoes inclined with respect to direction of advancement. Hoes are equipped at their front side with sharpened cutting edge and at their rear side with stirrers. Carrier wheels positioned in front part of mellowing apparatus are furnished at two sides with sharpened disk knives. Working tools have two tines beveled at an angle corresponding to angle of inclination of hoes. Rectangular hoes are fixed in cantilevered manner to front sides of tines and replaceable rotors are provided on the underside of tines, said rotors being equipped with equally spaced stirrers made in the form of disk knives or rollers.

EFFECT: reduced consumption of power, improved quality of shelling and preparing of seed beds.
