FIELD: agriculture, in particular, separation of seeds of cultured plants from seeds of weed plants.
SUBSTANCE: method involves providing mechanical action upon seed material by creating compression and flexure deformations during movement of material along curved path between surfaces having protrusions and slots transverse to direction of movement of seed material. As a result of deformations and friction forces, fruit valves are opened and seeds are separated from fruits. Method further involves feeding seed heap into ascending air flow which carries away fruit valves; separating remaining heap on flat screen with round openings through which esparcet seeds fall; moving dog's tongue seeds from flat screen and removing.
EFFECT: increased efficiency in full separation of esparcet and dog's tongue seeds from one another and provision for planting of esparcet seeds rather than its fruits.
