FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves examining somatosensory evoked potentials. Transcranial magnetic stimulation is applied to motor cortex projection and in cervical radices region. The evoked motor responses are recorded and central motor transition time is measured. Short latent somatosensory evoked potentials are recorded and determined in one stage. The central motor transition time being found increased and somatosensory potentials values being within norm, diskectomy or corporectomy is carried out in anterior cervical access. The central motor transition time being within normal limits and somatosensory potentials values being changed, laminoplasty approach is selected.
EFFECT: wide range of means for determining patient treatment tactics.
