FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, in particular to traumatology, neurosurgery and functional diagnostics. Acoustic stem induced potentials are registered and degree of spinal cord injury is diagnosed by prognostic criteria: diffusive affection of brain stem structures and for superior cervical trauma elongation of inter-peak interval 1-5, and for inferior cervical - elongation of 5 peak latency. Weight coefficient of predictors for superior cervical trauma and for trauma of inferior cervical part of spine is determined. Obtained values are used to calculate probability (P) of presence of spinal cord contusion. If P value is larger than 50%, contusion of spinal cord is predicted, with P being lower than 50%, concussion of spinal cord is predicted.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to differentiate intensity of traumatic injuries of spinal cord at cervical level.
