FIELD: nut crushing technique.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus has casing within which nut crushing unit is placed. Nut crushing unit is made in the form of at least one pair of mutually parallel crushing rolls connected with each other for rotation by means of drive at equal angular speed in opposite directions. On lateral surface of each crushing roll there is provided row of alternating circular toothed crown and circular slot. Crushing rolls are positioned in pair relative to one another so that circular toothed crowns of one crushing roll are arranged opposite circular slots of adjacent crushing roll and are designed for so that each circular toothed crown of one crushing roll in pair is inserted into respective circular slot provided in adjacent crushing roll. Width of each circular toothed crown is less than width of each circular slot by 1-1.2 mm.
EFFECT: reduced probability for jamming of individual particles of crushed nuts against lateral working surface of each crushing roll.
