FIELD: sheet rolling processes in wide strip rolling mills.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of heating blank, rolling it in rough group of stands, transporting along intermediate roller table to finish group of stands and performing final rolling. Lowered "temperature wedge" accompanied by reduced lengthwise thickness difference of ready strip is provided due to transporting rolled piece along intermediate roller table and feeding it to finish group of stands in zone before said group having length no less than two length values of rolled piece at condition of lowered heat sink from lower front surface of said rolled piece. In order to realize it, in aggregate having rough and finish groups of stands and intermediate roller table with rollers and inter-roller plates, - in zone of roller table adjacent to finish group of stand whose length is no less than two length values of rolled piece said inter-roller plates are mounted in level that is lower by 40 -80 mm than upper edge of rollers of roller table. On upper surface of each plate recess with depth 40 - 100 mm is formed and on bottom of said recess at least three ribs having thickness 20 - 40 mm and height corresponding to depth of recess, oriented along axis of roller table and dividing said recess by portions are arranged. On each next plate ribs are mounted in such a way that they are shifted by 40 - 60 mm relative to ribs of previous plate in direction normal to roller table axis. Each portion of recess of plate is filled with heat insulation material, for example with rolling process scale.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of rolling process, improved quality of rolled sheets.
