FIELD: power engineering; gas-industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to create turbines for gas industry. Proposed turbo-expander plant includes turbo-expander with working wheel, high-pressure chamber and low-pressure chamber which communicate with storage chamber through seals. Storage chamber communicates through main line to let out gas-air mixture with ejector pipe accommodating fan and nozzles. Ejector pipe is connected by output with heat exchanger connected with natural gas high-pressure main line. Wheel of turbo-expander is rigidly connected with rotor of electric generator installed on bearings, mainly, magnetic or air ones. Electric generator is connected with power consumer through frequency converter.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of utilization of potential energy of natural gas leaks.
