FIELD: electric radio engineering measuring technique.
SUBSTANCE: while measuring input complex resistance of passive multi-port network, signal source is first connected to tested multi-port network through four-terminal network - attenuator with known attenuation. Voltage is measured at input and output of attenuator in relation to ground pole of multi-port network. Measurements are taken twice by using different values of attenuation. Active component and module of reactive component of complex resistance are calculated on base of results of measurements. Reactive resistance with known value is connected in parallel to measured multi-port network and voltages are measured again at input and output of attenuator for two different values of its attenuation. Module of reactive component is calculated on base of measurements. Character of changes is used to judge on sign of reactive component of complex input resistance of multi-port network. Two more versions of method of measurements of complex resistance of multi-port network are offered to measure input output complex resistance of active multi-port network.
EFFECT: widened range of operation frequencies of measuring devices; improved precision of measurement; reduced cost.
