FIELD: physics, measurements.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method uses a controlled-resistance measuring circuit connected between the dipole and its sinusoidal voltage power supply. The said controlled resistance features three settings to vary interrelation between the lengths of feeder line section from the aforesaid power supply and dipole to the point of connection of measuring circuit. The measurements are performed in two stages, i.e., first, the equivalent wavelength of the feeder line sections for three various ratios of their length on connecting the reference active resistance as a load and for three values of supply voltage frequency. Second, the dipole under analysis is connected as a load to measure the voltage for three ratios of the length of the feeder line sections determined at the first stage. Now, a mathematical model is used to determine the values of the components of complex resistance of two dipoles proceeding from the equality of all of them.
EFFECT: ruling out influence of feeder characteristics of measurement results at frequencies of up to 40 GHz.
