FIELD: nuclear heat-supply units.

SUBSTANCE: proposed nuclear reactor of heat-supply unit incorporating provision for automatic control of thermal power in reactor core depending on seasonal and daily variations in heat energy being consumed has vessel, core, heat-insulating shell, traction tube, intermediate heat exchanger, and automatic control elements of reactor. Novelty is that power of nuclear reactor heat-supply unit and heat energy release in its core are controlled by varying level of neutron-absorbing liquid in control channel so that when coolant temperature increases or coolant flowrate decreases in consumer circuit, liquid level is raised and when coolant temperature decreases or coolant flowrate increases in consumer circuit, liquid level is reduced.

EFFECT: enhanced safety in operation without routine maintenance of reactor unit, reduced cost of heat energy supplied.
