FIELD: thermo-physical measurements.
SUBSTANCE: in the method, combustion of gas is performed on the surface of catalyst, applied onto calorimetric substance, as which metal is used with electric resistance changing depending on the temperature. Through the calorimetric substance positioned in combustion chamber, electric current is transmitted and catalyst is heated up to temperature, at which catalytic gas oxidation process occurs with emission of heat. By reducing the electrical power spent on heating, reduction of temperature of calorimetric substance is achieved, and natural gas combustion heat is determined on basis of alternation of electrical power required to maintain constant temperature of calorimetric substance.
EFFECT: simplification of method and reduction of measurement duration.
