FIELD: engineering of autonomous optical and radiolocation systems for preventing collisions of an aircraft with obstacles by warning the crew members about obstacle directions and distances towards them.
SUBSTANCE: the indicator consists of control system and light-emitting modules, which emit radiation in various sections of visible spectrum. Light-emitting modules with their control blocks are combined in "n" sectors based on number of collision prevention system observation channels, each one of which is divided on "m" illuminated zones along sector generating lines which have their own coloring which corresponds to certain range of distance to the obstacle. Sector opening angle equals the angle of prevention of corresponding collision prevention system channel and their combined placement matches the whole warning area in flight plane of the aircraft. When given indicator is present in collision prevention system, precise detection of azimuth and distance to the obstacle is not necessary, only detection of zone (sector) where the obstacle is located, and interval of distances between the aircraft and the obstacle.
EFFECT: possible application of collision prevention system during flight in complicated conditions.
