FIELD: medicine, neonatology.
SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with predicting the result of respiratory distress-syndrome (RDS) in neonatals in critical state being upon controlled ventilation (CV). In RDS-neonatals one should detect the percentage of blood lymphocytes being late apoptosis due to flow cytometry according to conventional technique. Unfavorable result should be stated upon if the quantity of cells being in late apoptosis corresponds to above 1%. The innovation predicts unfavorable result of the disease at earlier terms that enables to enhance the conducted intensive therapy in due time. The innovation in question could be widely applied not only in resuscitation departments but in other pediatric hospitals, as well.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of prediction.
