SUBSTANCE: first, it is necessary to carry out thoracotomy at dissecting mediastinal pleura at its whole distance followed by evacuation of pus and arranging drainage tubes in mediastinal fiber and pleural cavity. Then it is important to fulfill repeated rethoracotomies every 48 h along post-surgical wound. Moreover, in the course of surgical interference one should lance restricted foci of purulent inflammation, dissect and remove necrotic tissues, carry out preventive techniques of hemostasis and, also, substitute and alter the position of drainage tubes. The innovation enables to match the mode of rethoracotomies conducted along with change of drainages that provides adequate sanitation of purulent focus and prevents the onset of bedsores of aortic wall and aortic branches.
