FIELD: transport means, in particular, roller skates which may be used as sportive equipment as well as means for movement over various kinds of road pavements, and also as bicycle alternative.
SUBSTANCE: roller skates have rollers mounted on base and foot retaining means. Roller skates may connected with and disconnected from one another using protrusion provided in base of one skate and slot mating said protrusion and provided in base of other skate. Protrusion and slot are designed so as to create between them moment of opposite forces, said moment providing increased friction force upon offsetting of one skate relative to other skate. According to another version, slot is provided with spring-loaded retainer, and protrusion is provided with two or more openings for receiving of retainer. According to third version, skates may be connected to or disconnected from one another by means of toothed rack provided in base of one skate and gear provided on base of other skate. According to further version, skates may be connected to or disconnected from one another by means of magnet fixed on base of one skate, and anchor provided in base of other skate.
EFFECT: useful utilization of muscle energy, increased safety and convenient usage of skates.
