FIELD: transportation means, in particular, roller skates which may be used as sports equipment as well as means for moving over various kinds of road coatings or as vehicle alternative to bicycles.
SUBSTANCE: roller skate has rollers mounted in offset relation with respect to base, and foot and ankle retaining means. Axis of rotation of at least one of said rollers of each skate is arranged at an angle to plane of contacting of roller surfaces in extreme lower points of rollers. Each said roller is kinematically connected to drive made in the form of pivotally joined pedal. According to another version, roller skate has rollers mounted in offset relation with respect to base and foot and ankle retaining means. Skates may be connected to one another by aligning thereof through moving of legs and disconnected from one another by shifting one skate relative to other skate also through moving of legs. Axis of rotation of at least one of said rollers of each skate is arranged at an angle to plane of contacting of roller surfaces in extreme lower points of rollers. Said roller is kinematically connected to drive.
EFFECT: reduced loading of leg muscles in the process of movement over uneven road and convenient usage owing to providing turning without necessity for separation of skates from road surface and without employment of individual's hands for controlling of turning.
