FIELD: powder metallurgy, namely production of thermally resistant large-pore tubes, possibly used in heat power engineering as adaptors for gas burners.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of preparing reaction mixture on base of aluminum and iron oxide; adding to said mixture refractory component and gasifying agent; placing coaxially in mold two mandrels of different diameters and placing in central part of mold heat exchanger; filling cavities between heat exchanger and small-diameter mandrel and also between mold envelope and large-diameter mandrel with shaping material and after-pressing it; removing mandrels; filling cavity formed after their removal with reaction mixture; carrying out synthesis in air in mode of self-sustained burning.

EFFECT: improved heat resistance at keeping high strength of tubes, simplified process for manufacturing such tubes.
