FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the products manufacturing out of powder materials by method of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS). The target to obtain the coatings by the ion-plasma spraying contains shaped metal plate, with which by means of layer metal solder via the intermediate layer in form of tablet based on the ceramic material the work sprayed layer in form of tablet based on the ceramic material is connected. The intermediate layer has skeleton porous structure, it contains metal filler filling pores inside the skeleton porous structure, and reinforcing addition firmly connected with the skeleton porous structure and metal filler. Method of target manufacturing includes forming out of at least three powder exothermic mixtures, at least three tablets creating work sprayed, intermediate and initiating layers, said tablets arrangement on the shaped metal plate alternating with layers of metal solder, SHS start-up in the initiating layer with the metal solder and metal filler melting, layers pressing upon SHS completion, and further removal of the initiating layer.
EFFECT: increased heat resistance of the target.
