FIELD: metal working, built-up cutting tools with mechanical fastening of cutting tips.

SUBSTANCE: milling cutter includes body and cutting tips mounted in seats of body. Each seat has lower wall with riffles and threaded opening and lateral wall for engaging with riffles of lower supporting surface and with lateral supporting surface of cutting tip mounted by means of fastening screw with head arranged in through opening of tip and screwed-in to said threaded opening. In order to provide engagement with lateral surface of through opening of cutting tip, axis of fastening screw is arranged with eccentricity relative to axis of through opening arranged with inclination relative to riffles. In order to improve reliability of fastening cutting tip in seat, milling cutter is provided with additional members placed by one member in seats of body and rigidly secured to grooves formed in lower walls of seats by inclination angle relative to riffles and arranged between threaded opening in lower wall of seat and end surface of body at crossing projections on lower wall of seat of working main and additional cutting edges of cutting tip. Lateral wall of seat is arranged on additional member; lateral supporting surface of cutting tip is arranged on lateral wall of respective groove formed in its lower surface. Eccentricity value between axes of fastening screw and through opening of cutting tip is directed from end surface to peripheral surface of body by inclination angle relative to riffles less than inclination angle relative to riffles of groove for additional member.

EFFECT: improved reliability of fastening cutting tip in seat of milling cutter body.
