FIELD: oil and gas production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparation of proppants used as propping agents in wells. Proppant contains (i) ceramic magnesium silicate granules, having on their surface protrusions 5-30 μm in height and made from the same composition or from composition more resistant to heat in amount 0.5-1.5 wt %, and (ii) epoxy-based polymer coating containing mixture of particles of hexamethylenetetramine and phenol-formaldehyde resin 5-100 μm in size at ratio of phenol-formaldehyde resin to epoxide resin between 1:5 and 5:1. Preparation of proppant comprises granulation, forming protrusions on granule surfaces, firing, and applying above-described polymer coating onto the surface of granules together with curing agent (polyethylenetetramine), and curing until polymer films is formed. Invention is given in detail in depending claims.
EFFECT: simplified technology, improved environmental aspect in preparation of proppant ensuring formation of continuous framework in well cracks at 40-80°C, that is suitable for use in shallow wells.
