FIELD: magnetic location systems; searching flooded and silted objects on and near sea bottom.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device has two independent object locating units, that is sonar and electromagnetic unit. Data arriving from these units are processed by electronic computer and used to find location, size, and magnetic characteristics of flooded and silted objects, as well as routes of pipelines and electric cables on sea bottom and their magnetic state. Results are presented on one map plotter with reference to coordinates according to navigation system.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of object detection, precision of its search range and location, enhanced productivity, reduced labor consumption.
