SUBSTANCE: invention is related in particular to navigation using data on parameters of the geomagnetic field, magnetic exploration, magnetic mapping, etc. The substance of the invention is as follows. In the method for determining the magnetic deviation on a moving object, which consists of measuring the parameters of the magnetic field as a projection of its vector on the axes of the reference coordinate system, measuring the angles of the course, roll and pitch of the object, determining Poisson's ratios and magnetic deviation, the strength measured by using a three-component non-cardan magnetometer is used as the parameter of the magnetic field, and such angles of pitch and roll of a moving object are chosen at which the normal axis of the three-component non-cardan magnetometer coincides with the direction of the vector of the geomagnetic field. At the same time, for each heading angle, the deviation correction is determined as the difference between the values of the angles of the reference heading and the current magnetic heading.
EFFECT: increase of the accuracy of the method for determining the magnetic deviation without the need for additional longitudinal and transverse rolls.
