METHOD FOR DETERMINATION OF SPATIAL POSITION OF PIPELINE AT UNDERWATER TRANSITION SECTION Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC F17D5/00

Abstract RU 2786847 C2

FIELD: magnetic survey.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of magnetic survey; it can be used for determination of a spatial position of a pipeline at a section of its underwater transition. Magneto-metric survey of a spatial position of a pipeline is performed using an unmanned aerial vehicle (hereinafter – UAV), which moves a magnetic antenna of a measuring device above the axis of the pipeline along a set flight trajectory. The flight trajectory is set with GPS coordinates X and Y, which are predetermined by curvilinear movement of the magnetic antenna, using UAV, above the pipeline with a step from 100 meters, according to the maximum value of magnetic field induction, obtained at a point of intersection of the magnetic antenna with the pipeline. A flight height Zf of UAV is set taking into account safe movement of the magnetic antenna of the device above the water surface. High accuracy of the spatial position of the pipeline at the water transition section is achieved by: movement of UAV at a speed of higher than 5 km/h with an error of operation of a differential navigation satellite system (hereinafter – NSS) of a centimeter range of the magnetic antenna above the axis of the pipeline, as well as measurement of linear coordinates and related height marks with a step from 0.5 m along the entire length of the water transition section of the pipeline.

EFFECT: results of the survey are used for determination of a spatial position of a pipeline at a section of its water transition, providing accuracy of measurements with error of NSS operation at a depth of pipeline laying up to 30 meters.
