FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed pin insulator that can be used for erecting overhead power transmission lines to protect them against fatigue vibration damage has flexible spiral wires fixed within its body. Conductor is attached to insulator simply by winding spiral wires on conductor. No tool is required for attaching conductor to insulator.
EFFECT: facilitated installation and wiring, reduced fatigue damage to conductor in the course of insulator use.
