FIELD: electric power.
SUBSTANCE: invention is used in the field of electric power on overhead power lines (PL). The device contains weights and at least one spiral strand made of at least one core, the axis of symmetry of the spiral strand coincides with the plane passing through the wire, its middle part is connected to the weights, and its extreme sections are wound on the wire, while the weights are placed inside the middle part of the spiral strand with the possibility of longitudinal movement of loads along the axis of the middle part of the spiral strand under dynamic loads.
EFFECT: limitation of the intensity of vibrations of wires of overhead power lines, increasing the efficiency of damping vibrations, reliability of the damper, efficiency of installation, reducing the cost of work.
