FIELD: packet data transmission networks.
SUBSTANCE: mobile station (MS) transmits one or more traffics to base station (BS) through one of the following channels: reverse channel PDCH, reverse channel FCH and reverse channel DCCH. To generate a protocol data unit (PDU) by means of using non-signal traffic and/or signal traffic for one of the reverse physical channels, multiplexing option is defined during procedures of service matching between mobile station (MS) and base station (BS). The multiplexing option defines the format of traffic, having a header and content, which includes traffic data, and the header includes an identifier field with link to the service, length pointer field, which indicates presence or absence of length field, and length field, which indicates the length of traffic data. Protocol data unit is generated by means of formatting of reverse traffic in such a way, that is has header and content in accordance with certain option of multiplexing.
EFFECT: increased functionality of data transmission.
