FIELD: vacuum cleaner for removal of dust from rooms.
SUBSTANCE: vacuum cleaner has casing for creating suction force and dust suction unit connected to casing. Upon placing of dust suction unit on surface to be cleaned, arched suction gap is formed, said gap being defined on at least one of front or rear sides of dust suction unit. Suction gap is gradually increasing toward central part of dust suction unit. According to one of versions, dust suction unit has casing delimiting outside contour of vacuum cleaner, supporting plate defining lower surface of dust suction unit and provided with suction opening through which opening dust is drawn into suction unit. Wheels fixed to at least one of front or rear opposite sides of suction unit are designed for enabling rolling of suction unit over floor. Connection stem made integral with wheels and designed for connecting wheels to one another has concave arched outer periphery gradually reducing in diameter toward center of connection stem for defining between floor and connection stem of suction gap through which gap air is drawn into suction unit. Connection stem has shape symmetrical relative to axis of connection stem, so that upon rolling of wheels over floor, connection stem is kept at constant distance from floor upon which wheels rest. Lowermost part of connection stem wherein it has minimal diameter is spaced from floor by distance of 1.5-2.2 mm.
EFFECT: improved maneuverability of dust suction unit requiring insignificant force, and reduced noise created by dust suction unit during operation of vacuum cleaner.
