FIELD: reduction of diesel engine emissions.
SUBSTANCE: proposed lubricating oil reduces emission of NOx formed during operation of diesel engine. Proposed lubricating oil contains base oil and one or several compounds described by formula R-(N=C=O)x, where R is hydrocarbon group having 4 to 30 atoms of carbon, x is integer from 1 to 4 in the amount equal to 0.1 mass-% to 5 mass-% in terms of mass of composition of lubricating oil. Preferable compound is methylene diphenyl diisocyanate. Operation of diesel engine includes introduction of proposed lubricating oil into engine.
EFFECT: reduction of emissions with no use of expensive exhaust systems.
