FIELD: radio engineering including antenna engineering, radars, communications, miscellaneous antenna assemblies disposed on flying vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: proposed vertically polarized transceiver antenna has radiator mounted perpendicular to screen plane. Radiator is made in the form of rectangular plate, 1.0 to 0.2λl wide and 1.0 to 0.15λl in height, where λl is wavelength of frequency range low value, which is shorted out and fixed through its bottom edge on screen. Antenna is excited through half-open slit, minimum 0.2λl long, made in rectangular plate at distance of 0.01 to 0.5λl from screen. Excitation point is free to displace along half-open slit and is chosen to ensure optimal matching in frequency band. Rectangular plate may have rounded-off tops with rounding radius of minimum 0.015λl. Half-open slit provided in proposed vertically polarized transceiver antenna may be rectilinear, or curvilinear, or variable-width piecewise-linear. Proposed antenna can be disposed in dielectric volume with fixed or variable dielectric constant.
EFFECT: enhanced gain and mechanical strength of proposed antenna.
