FIELD: antenna engineering; antenna assemblies disposed on flying vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: proposed vertically polarized transceiving antenna is characterized in that it has its radiator installed perpendicular to screen plane and made in the form of rectangular wafer, 1.0-0.2λl wide and 1.0-0.15λl in height, which is shorted out through its bottom edge and fixed to screen. It is excited through half-open slit, minimum 0.2λl long, made in rectangular wafer at distance of 0.01-0.5λl from screen; excitation point is free to move along half-open slit. Additional screen whose height amounts to minimum half that of radiator is installed either perpendicular to main screen or at angle of 65 to 135 deg. to the later and at distance of λl/6±λl/30 from center of radiator bottom edge. Radiator can be installed in arbitrary position relative to additional screen within the range of 0 to ±180 deg., radiation maximum in elevation being constant in any position of radiator relative to additional screen and in azimuth it is free to move within ±10 deg. Radiator of vertically polarized transceiving antenna can be made in the form of rectangular wafer whose tops can be rounded off with rounding radius of minimum 0.015 λl. Half-open slit can be made in the form of rectangular or piecewise linear variable-width slit. This vertically polarized transceiving antenna is disposed in insulating space having constant or variable dielectric constant.
EFFECT: enhanced gain and mechanical strength.
