SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a glaze composition and can be used for applying articles made of porcelain and faience. Proposed glaze comprises the following components, wt.-%: SiO₂, 48.5-54.0; Al₂O₃, 7.0-10.0; Fe₂O₃, 0.1-0.2; CaO, 7.0-10.0; MgO, 0.2-0.3; Na₂O, 0.1-0.2; K₂O, 5.5-7.0; B₂O₃, 9.0-12.0; Cr₂O₃, 0.9-1.3; SnO₂, 4.5-5.2, and ZnO, 7.0-10.0. Invention provides enhancing thermal stability and luster of glaze.
