FIELD: electrical engineering; electrical machine commutators.
SUBSTANCE: novelty is that proposed commutator incorporating load-bearing body 1 of molding material and plurality of conductive metal segments 3 disposed thereon about commutator axis 2 has its load-bearing body 1 built of two areas made of different molding materials tightly fitted to one another and held in geometric contact, that is, main part 11 of load-bearing member and coating 9 for protection against current leakage. Coating 9 that has insulating surfaces 10 open outside in radial direction which passes leakage current is disposed between conductive segments 3 and is built of first molding material whose leakage resistance is higher than that of second molding material 11. Two alternative methods proposed for commutator manufacture are given in invention specification.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency, in particular at high current, and high economic efficiency with high reliability and long service life.
