FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method of fabricating flat commutator with carbon working surface. The proposed method comprises fabrication of closed circular conducting rough piece (1) with conducting segments (3) and connecting jumpers (4), by rolling up the section of shaped tape, stepwise in lengthwise direction, the section edge being cut to form contact lugs (7) and connecting hooks (6). The tape section rolled up, conducting element contact lugs (7) are bent inward towards axis (2) and shaped on both axial face surfaces cutting off in axial direction. The said conducting rough piece is jointed to the carbon circular disk to make one-piece part whereon a bearing element is molded. Now, the said carbon circular element is divided into separate carbon segments, while the jumpers are removed or cut.
EFFECT: reduced wastes and costs of commutator production, reliable connection of carbon segments with contact areas of conducting segments.
