FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method of producing the commutator. The commutator comprises bearing element (1), multiple conducting segments (13) fitted in the later, compensating device (18) incorporating several equaliser elements (17) that interconnect, in pairs or groups, the said conducting segments and are formed by pigtails (19) terminated in the said bearing element. The method of fabricating the above-described commutator comprises connecting appropriately bent pigtails (19), at least, by their ends, with appropriate annular conducting segments (13), prior to pressure die moulding of bearing element (1). Mold (2), used to this end, features multiple chute-like bearing elements (31), arranged concentrically around axis (5), on one part of the said mold, and receiving pigtails (19). The proposed commutator can represent a drum-type commutator.
EFFECT: commutator unsusceptible to damages that features smaller sizes.
