FIELD: forensic medicine.
SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with forensic investigation of material evidence and could be applied in the practice of forensic experts for establishing trace-forming surface of blunt solid objects. The innovation provides the method for identifying the instrument of trauma and establishing its trace-forming surface. At blow impact of a blunt solid object in scalp at high velocity and interaction with cranial surface one should observe the fragmentation of hair at developing hair stems, not including the bulbs, the length ranged 0.01-15 mm. Such fragments could be fixed upon the instruments of trauma with the traces of blood, fat and so on. It is necessary to carry out stereomicroscopic survey to detect hair upon an object, their microscopy in transmitted light, moreover, in case of stereomicroscopic survey one should fine the traces of blood to soften them due to adding water and detect there microfragments of hair stems, and at microscopy in transmitted light one should register the presence of hair fragments at the length ranged 0.01-15 mm. Detection of such fragments upon a blunt solid object enables to establish the fact of a blow in scalp and co-blow with skin surface.
EFFECT: higher accuracy and efficiency.
