FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: present invention refers to medicine, namely to a method for prediction of unfavorable liver fibrosis in chronic hepatitis C. A method for prediction of unfavorable liver fibrosis in chronic hepatitis C by measuring the intensity of cell-mediated immune parenchyma damage, wherein immunohistomorphometric method involves quantitative determination of absolute CD8-positive lymphocyte content in 1 mm2 heparin liver parenchyma section and with more than 200 CD8-positive lymphocytes in 1 mm2 liver parenchyma and infection with hepatitis C virus 3 genotype, unfavorable hepatic fibrosis in chronic hepatitis C is predicted.
EFFECT: disclosed method provides higher prediction accuracy of unfavorable liver fibrosis in chronic hepatitis C.
