SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an agent used in treatment and prophylaxis of pulmonary diseases, among them tuberculosis. Agent is prepared as a tablet comprising a core and envelope wherein a core comprises lichen thallus Cetraria islandica (L.) Ach. dry extract as active substances that comprises complex of biologically active substances extracted with aqueous ethyl alcohol in the definite concentration and wherein extract comprises polysaccharides in the definite amount as measured for the glucose content. As special additives the agent comprises lactose, methylcellulose and calcium stearate taken in the definite ratio of components. Envelope is made on basis of hydroxypropylcellulose and titanium dioxide, for example, of sort white "Spektrablend". Agent is effective in prophylaxis and treatment of pulmonary diseases, among them, tuberculosis disease, it retains better sorption properties and elicits detoxification properties, releases active substance easily and provides high bioavailability. Invention is used in prophylaxis and treatment of pulmonary diseases, among them, tuberculosis disease.
