SUBSTANCE: invention refers to pharmaceutical industry, namely, to an antiviral agent based on the extract of lichen Cetraria islandica (L.) Ach. (Iceland moss). Antiviral agent based on the extract of lichen Cetraria islandica (L.) Ach. (Iceland moss), which contains a dry extract of the specified lichen prepared by drying an aqueous extraction of biologically active substances of crushed and homogenised raw material or prepared by drying an ethanol extraction of biologically active substances of crushed and homogenised raw material, aqueous solutions of which in the concentration of not less than 0.1 mg/ml in case of water extraction and in concentration of not less than 0.01 mg/ml in case of ethanol extraction have antiviral activity towards influenza viruses of subtypes A/H3N2 and A/H5N1.

EFFECT: agent described above shows effective antiviral activity towards influenza viruses of subtypes A/H3N2 and A/H5N1.
