FIELD: apparatuses used in powder metallurgy for producing powders by spraying melt metals.
SUBSTANCE: housing of jet has annular slit for supplying hot compressed gas. Nipple with central duct for supplying melt and protection cover are provided with mutually coupled through splitter-destabilizers made in the form of slit grooves for creating flat streams of hot compressed gas and disturbed two-phase flow of gas-metal mixture at outlet of central duct of jet nipple. Rear walls of grooves are in the form of tapers with inclination angle relative to lengthwise axis of central duct of jet equal to 30 - 45°. Said slit grooves may be arranged along radius relative to lengthwise axis of central duct of jet nipple for dissecting melt by sectors and for forming central axial gas stream inside common flow or inclined by angle relative to cross axis of central duct of jet nipple equal to 25 - 35° in order to swirl melt.
EFFECT: intensified spraying process, elimination of central duct jamming, improved efficiency of jet, possibility for producing finely dispersed powders.
