FIELD: transport engineering; automatic transmissions.
SUBSTANCE: proposed system includes engine speed check unit, foot brake condition check unit, shifted-in gear check unit, automobile speed check unit, control unit, starting device and vacuum device. Method includes the following operations: switching on ignition to additional supply position, switching on hydrovacuum booster providing vacuum to increase pressure of brake fluid, switching on ignition for starting engine, checking position of gearshift lever and condition of foot brake, determining current position of gearshift lever and state action of foot brake, and basing on results of said checks, engine is started if gearshift lever is in neutral position and boot brake is applied, or failure of engine starting, measuring of engine speed, determining whether speed of engine is lower than definite preset value, interlocking of gear-shifting until engine speed is lower than preset value, unlocking of gear-shifting, measuring vehicle speed and changing over to re-starting conditions if foot brake fails even when engine has been started.
EFFECT: improved safety at operation of road vehicle.
