SUBSTANCE: invention is used in controlling vehicle coasting. When controlling vehicle coasting, coasting mode is controlled in presence of at least one predefined condition for coasting. Method comprises transitioning from coasting mode to drive mode, if coasting continued during a certain period of time. Specified time period starts at onset of a predetermined event. Predetermined event is moment when vehicle starts to move on a road section with angle of inclination of a preset value. Invention also discloses a vehicle control system and a vehicle.
EFFECT: reduced fuel consumption, reduced harmful emissions, preventing excess wear, overheating of brakes.
