FIELD: machine engineering, possibly manufacture and sharpening of shaped milling cutters and knives in profile-sharpening machines.
SUBSTANCE: in guides of table of machine tool carriage with working tool and probe is mounted with possibility of lengthwise motion and reciprocation-rocking motion. Probe contacts with template and it is rigidly joined with carriage through cross tie rod. There is drive unit coupled directly with template joined with carriage through leverage mechanism with possibility of simultaneous motion of template relative to table and relative to probe. Such structure provides conversion of motion values of template and probe to motion value of working tool with coefficient that differs from 1. Coefficient of converting lengthwise motion of template is set according to selected relation of lever arms of leverage mechanism. Conversion coefficient of crosswise motion of template is set according to selected relation of distances from tool and from probe till rocking axis of carriage.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of sharpening process due to its enhanced accuracy, simplified design of machine tool.
