SUBSTANCE: invention relates to alkylation-mediated process for production of alkylaromatic compounds, which comprises following stages. Diluted olefin feed in absorption zone is brought into contact with depleted absorption oil stream containing aromatic compound and alkylaromatic compound. Resulting enriched absorption oil stream containing aromatic compound, alkylaromatic compound, and olefin is passed to alkylation reaction zone to perform alkylation reaction in presence of catalyst. Resulting now depleted absorption oil stream containing aromatic compound and alkylaromatic compound is divided into depleted absorption oil stream, which is recycled into absorption zone, and a part of product, from which alkylaromatic compound is isolated.
EFFECT: enabled use of diluted feed and diminished olefin waste and required amount of catalyst.
