FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to three versions of the method of producing a monoalkylated aromatic product. One of the versions includes: (a) contacting benzene and an alkylating agent with an alkylation catalyst in a first alkylation reaction zone under alkylation conditions to produce a first alkylation alkylation stream containing a monoalkylated aromatic product, a polyalkylated aromatic product, unreacted benzene and non-aromatic compounds C5, C6 and/or C7; (b) removing the purge stream containing non-aromatic compounds C5, C6 and/or C7 and unreacted benzene, from alkylation first effluent stream; (c) contacting at least a portion of the purge stream with an alkylating agent in a second alkylation reaction zone in the presence of an alkylation catalyst in alkylation conditions to produce a second alkylation effluent stream comprising a monoalkylated aromatic product, a polyalkylated aromatic product and non-aromatic compounds C5, C6 and/or C7; (d) extracting the monoalkylated aromatic product from the first and second alkylation effluents; and (e) blowing at least part of non-aromatic compounds C5, C6 and/or C7 in second alkylation effluent stream; wherein the alkylating agent used on each of (a) and (c) contains an alkylating agent C2 or C3.

EFFECT: use of the disclosed method enables to reduce output losses associated with non-aromatic purging during alkylation of aromatic compounds.
