SUBSTANCE: the jamming signal from the jamming transmitter located on the ground is received by the (M+1) elements of the radar aerial array, the carrier frequency at which the jamming influence on the radar is maximum is determined, the aerial array is oriented to azimuth direction Q corresponding to the maximum value of the received jamming signal, voltages proportional to the differences of the signal phases relative to the central one are formed in M receiving channels, then, they are amplified and summed up, and the range is determined according to the respective formula.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of ranging of the thrown jamming transmitter due to estimation of the jamming signal phase differences in each receiving channel and realization of the algorithm of averaging of the phases with the weight coefficients proportional to the square of the aerial array element number.
